The Role

As a Graduate Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing co-ordination and support to one or more projects, ensuring procedures are followed and that all key project documents are in place and that projects are delivered to budget, schedule and quality standards.
These projects are varied and typically involve the maintenance and enhancement of the two world class fusion devices on site as well as developing new facilities that advance enabling technologies for the international market in fusion development. These projects embody our mission to develop nuclear fusion as a source of energy generation, demonstrating the technology with a view to it ultimately becoming commercialised.
You will work closely with Project Manager on variety of projects and ensuring that they are executed to a high standard according to established project and technical management processes, leading to delivered solutions of an engineering integrity commensurate with nuclear operations.
UKAEA’s two-year Graduate Scheme is split by 80% of your time developing both your general work-related skills and professional qualifications and 20% of your working time dedicated to graduate training and development. Within the 20% training and development, there is a core suite of activities designed to develop your professional and business skills. Elements of this programme are flexible and can be tailored to your personal development needs and to those of your specific job role.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation and management of key documentation for the project(s).
- Responsible for keeping project databases and records up to date and in line with IDP.
- Coordinate and provide information for the assigned project(s) as requested.
- Analyse Project Data (including finances) and produce standard project reports.
- Review and advise on project budgets, work orders and purchases.
