Graduate Stress Engineer

Have you at least one years' experience of stress analysis for mechanical engineering projects? This can be from a sandwich degree or post qualification experience

Are you comfortable with analytical tools (FEA, system analysis, Ansys) and carrying out structural analysis to a high standard suitable for external bodies?

Can you perform hand calculations under supervision?

We're looking for a Graduate Stress Engineer to provide analytical services to the mechanical design team and ensure that product designs meet the required level of integrity. Undertake analysis tasks (FEA, System Analysis, Rotordynamics)
Support manufacturing and purchasing concession requests
Provide critique of analytical and design proposals to ensure product integrity
Create engineering analysis cost estimations

In-depth knowledge of structural analysis techniques, including fatigue analysis to the level required for component certification by outside bodies
In-depth knowledge and hands on experience of the use of FEA software
Ability to perform complex hand calculations from first principles
