This role is for a Graduate Support consultant who will start with the fundamental product knowledge required to then progress into different areas. The role involves working directly with our customers to identify business needs and issues and then how best to solve them by implementing and developing new software systems to improve processes and achieve strategic organisational goals.
The training comprises of classroom sessions in the first months of employment and includes assignments where candidates are given a customer scenario to prepare and demonstrate so that they can enhance their soft skills. Alongside the classroom training there is access to Microsoft self-study learning material, on the job experience and the help of a personal mentor who’s already experienced in the role.
Skills profile:
- Analytical and research skills to help identify and understand the real problems facing a company, analyse documents and observe procedures.
- Critical thinking and evaluation skills, understanding how departments within a business are linked and common business practices.
- Natural curiosity along with the confidence to ask that extra question for clarification/deeper understanding.
- Problem solving skills along with the ability to be able to coordinate and collaborate with colleagues across the business to solve customer issues and recommend solutions.
- Top-notch written and verbal communication skills, so comfortable communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority
- The ability to understand and learn software and processes quickly and the willingness to continually learn and adapt as new product innovations are launched.
- Rocket scientist and maths genius-level skills are not required! The role really isn’t as technical as you might imagine.
Person Specification
Ideally a degree in Business Management or Information Technology but we’d also love to hear from those with other degrees and/or relevant work experience if this role sounds like a good fit!
