Job: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Start Date: February 2024
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
The school is based in Bromley, and is seeking graduates who wish to use their skills to help support individuals and groups of students to learn. It is a thriving all-girls academy who have enviable GCSE results, being amongst the best in the country.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting students to access the curriculum across the whole class, and on a 1-to-1 basis where required
- Liaising effectively with the class teacher to ensure that students with SEND or EAL are adequately supported
- Keeping detailed records of student progress, and any issues that arise so that this can be raised with the class teacher and form tutors
- Group tutoring in your specific subject area e.g. a science graduate would tutor science students
- Contribute to the overall positive classroom culture through supporting with behaviour when required or directed by the class teacher
- Complete CPD as required by the school to aid in your development so that you can properly support students in their learning and behaviour
Qualifications:
- Degree in relevant subject, and ideally be a recent graduate
You must have a desire to support students, and learn strategies to work effectively with students with challenging behaviour, and have an interest in learning about and understanding issues facing students and families from disadvantaged backgrounds.
