Form of workPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent planning consultancy on the hire of a Graduate Town Planner to their team in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
The successful Planner will be excited to be part of an independent, evolving planning practice, delivering exceptional service to clients and landowners and providing assistance on projects predominantly in the tourism, leisure and caravan sectors.
Key tasks will consist of:
Planning history reviewsUndertaking site visitsProducing site appraisalsPreparing small scale planning applicationsMonitoring applicationsAttending meetings with senior colleaguesOur client is a small practice of experienced planning consultants, advising major operators in the leisure, tourism, commercial and residential sectors (with particular specialisms in visitor attractions and holiday/caravan parks). They help to enable their clients to realise their ambitious development projects across the UK.
Qualifications & Experience Required
An RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.Previous work experience that can come from a work placement or be currently employed.Good communication skills.Is open and seeks support / assistance from senior colleagues when struggling to fulfil tasks.Good client liaison skills.Good negotiation skills.Project management skills.Solid report writing skills.Understanding of the UK planning process.
