The role

We are currently looking for a Graduate TraineeFinancial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Doncaster. Reporting to the Northern Europe FP&A Manager, the Graduate trainee will be given a distinct role to support the overall Financial Planning and Analysis requirements of the Northern Europe Business Unit.  This could include, but is not limited to:

• Supporting the preparation of Northern Europe variance analysis for key metrics

• Supporting the preparation of UK and Ireland management information, including forecasted profit and loss and balance sheets and monthly management presentation packs

• Assisting with the preparation of UK and Ireland statutory financial statements, tax computations and internal and external audit requirements

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
  • Assisting the preparation of annual statutory accounts (UK and Ireland)
  • Involvement with internal and external audit processes
  • Assisting the corporation tax, VAT return and CIS scheme processes
  • Be willingly involved in global finance initiatives
  • Spend time gaining experience in other Finance teams within Wavin
  • Complete and provide accurate, informative, and timely reports as requested by line management
  • Stay up to date on best practices and financial standards
  • Undertake all other reasonable requests within your capability
  • Occasional travel may be required with potential overnight stays

 

 

Profile

  • Hold GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or 5 in Maths and English
  • Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject area, preferably Finance, Economics or Accountancy
  • Understanding of account principles and standards
  • Computer literature to an intermediate standard with the Microsoft office suite, particularly Outlook, Powerpoint and Word
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Power BI or other data analytic tool skills would be advantageous
  • The ability to priortise tasks and work without close supervison
  • Can work accurately and effectively at pace
  • Excellent Planning and organisation skills
