We are looking for a 2024 Graduate Veterinary Surgeon who would enjoy coming to work with a team of really friendly, funny and highly skilled colleagues.
Our purpose-built practice opened in 2008 and has been owned and run by Robert White-Adams ever since. As a locally-owned practice we take pride in everything we put our name to, not just as vets but also as employers; that’s why you’ll find the practice to be a well-managed and easy to work in environment, with up to date facilities and peer support that will enable you to achieve a standard of work above the typical first-opinion practice, and ultimate job satisfaction.
We have a proven track record of supporting and developing newly graduated vets; two of which are still with the practice and a third who will vouch for us all the way from her adventures in Australia. You’ll find no one-size-fits-all schemes here; we take a personal interest in each of our colleagues and work with them to provide bespoke, meaningful and practical learning. You will receive clinical and pastoral support where and when you need it – not when a timetable says it’s due.
The role will be 30-40 hours per week depending on your preference, to include 1 in 3 weekends, no out of hours, and no bank holidays. We’re in easy reach of J21 of the M5, right on the A370, with ample parking and handy amenities on our doorstep. The salary will exceed that offered by corporate New Grad Schemes and we’ll be happy to discuss this and the other benefits openly upon enquiry.
We’d like to have the right person in place by mid-August, but this position is ready when you are. If you didn’t picture yourself working in a practice within a pet shop, we’d love to show you that a big name doesn’t necessarily mean a “big corporate”.
If you’re interested in working for a small practice with a great, authentic culture, you can contact our practice manager Kim and start a conversation in the utmost confidence at: kim.whiteadams@companioncare.co.uk
Location: BS23 3YY
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
