Grant Operations Manager required to join national institution in central London to support grant management process - £40,000-£44,000 plus excellent benefits and hybrid working, 35 hour working week
This well-known national institution is looking for a Grant Operations Manager to support their grant management process; handling funding applications and working closely with their Finance and Vision & Strategy teams, in order to ensure the smooth running of their funding process. The grants they allocate are all high value so will offer excellent exposure in to a large and high-profile grant-making programme, managing the distribution of around £100 million per annum of national funding.
The Grant Operations Manager duties will include:
- Assessment of funding applications
- Reviewing financial plans and budgets
- Preparing letters and funding agreements
- Providing guidance and keeping applicants up to date throughout the process
- Dealing with the governance process to trustees and senior stakeholders, including drafting and presenting reports, preparing board packs and financial reporting
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a finance function and/or a grant-making programme or funding process and you must be numerate to ensure that the payments process works smoothly, monitoring budgets, cashflow and reporting. You will have excellent communication skills, with a friendly and diplomatic attitude in order to build and maintain excellent relationships across internal departments as well as with external stakeholders. You will have strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and have experience working to deadlines and be comfortable with numbers/spreadsheets.
