Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
Flexible working: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week but we are very happy to discuss reduced or condensed hours.
Location: Inspire Youth Zone, Chorley.

Chorley Youth Zone, named ‘Inspire’ by young people, has been providing a safe space for the young people in Chorley to grow and discover their passions and purpose for the past 5 years. While it is a locally run, independent charity, it is part of the OnSide Youth Zone network, which provides support to young people in some of the most disadvantaged areas in the country.
The youth zone is packed with equipment and resources for young people to use to develop new skills and try new activities, and their team of qualified youth workers provide support to vulnerable young people with a range of challenges they may face. The Youth Zone is more than just its amazing equipment; its real impact comes from the exceptional youth work that remains at the core of what the youth zone is all about. Inspire wants to do just that; inspire young people to find themselves and feel as if they belong to something bigger.
About the Role
As a Grants and Contracts Manager, you will lead the Grants and Contracts strategy for Inspire, and, in collaboration with the Senior operational team you’ll ensure successful delivery of projects and Contracts. You will line manage a brilliant and experienced associate bid writer, supporting them to make excellent submissions, as well as developing a strong pipeline of grant organisations.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and wider team to translate funding to impact within the youth zone, and you will monitor and report on the progression of funding requirements, keeping projects on track. You’ll work with the Philanthropy Manager and Impact and Administration Officer to research and collate the impact for funders.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and action oriented. You’ll have proven experience of bid or tender writing and securing income at various levels, or equivalent experience in a related field. You’ll be able to understand complex funding requirements and be able to translate these into clear objectives. This role requires a brilliant relationship developer who loves delivering first class stewardship to funders.
