The Role
Are you a talented Graphic Designer with product development experience? Do you already work within the beauty industry? We’re looking for a multi-talented individual who can develop, design, and deliver NPD for the Rainbow brands. Working within the brand team, your responsibilities will include trend and market research, range planning and design, through to liaising with suppliers to ensure that the products are developed and delivered on time and meet all legislative requirements. You will also work on a variety of projects, including social media, websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions, corporate identity etc.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate must be creative, hardworking, have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate their ideas to the team. You will have a keen interest in cosmetics and toiletries and be aware of current market and industry trends.
Skilled in creating designs and artwork for and across packaging, merchandising displays, social media ads, POS and other marketing support material for print and web, you will be highly organised and able to plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
Being a strong team player, you will be able to communicate effectively at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities

Responsible for the end-to-end process: from creating artwork to QC final item when it lands in the warehouse.

Take the packaging design “brief” to record requirements and company needs.
·
Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software.
·
Schedule project implementation and define budget constraints.
·
Think creatively and develop new design concepts, photoshoot, graphics, and layouts.
·
Challenge and investigate design briefs and solve design problems.
·
Amend final designs to clients/team comments and gain full approval.
·
Create and develop packaging designs that delight customers.
·
Organise social media campaigns launches alongside the marketing team.
·
Manage own design workload to achieve team deadlines and critical paths.
·
Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, stylists, executives etc.
·
Build Packaging Design Guidelines for use in artwork.

Qualification and Experience
You will have 2+ years proven experience of developing, conceptualising, and delivering consumer product packaging and printed layouts. This will ideally have been in the beauty/cosmetics industry.

Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Desktop Publishing, In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and After effects

Up to date with industry leading software and technologies
·
Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
·
Be aware of packaging design trends in the relevant Health & Beauty market.
·
Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
·
Highly proficient in all design aspects
·
Professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadlines
