Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Contract Type: Agency/Locum (5 months)

Pay Rate: £17 per hour (assignment/Umbrella rate)
                £13.33 per hour (Net PAYE)

Shift/Working Pattern: Full-time with shifts arranged on a 2-weekly Rota.

Responsibilities:

• Be a uniformed presence acting as a deterrent to vandalism, graffiti, and anti-social behaviour.
• Monitor and enforce appropriate bylaws (Dog Fouling, Littering, Fly Tipping).
• Act as a point of contact between residents and the Local Authority, paying particular attention to anti-social behaviour and environmental issues and referring them to the appropriate agency.
• Act as an ambassador for the Authority, giving advice and information to residents regarding crime prevention, housing matters, and environmental issues, whilst promoting the image of North Tyneside.
• Always respond to all members of the public in a sympathetic and polite manner.
• Liaise with schools and colleges to promote community safety and environmental education.
• Carry out gardening and cleansing activities, including litter and graffiti removal.
• Plan general maintenance schedules.

Requirements:

• A basic knowledge of countryside management skills.
• Ability to use horticultural equipment.
• Clean valid driving license
• The post holder is expected to work in all weather or at the discretion of the team leader if severe.
