About the Grocery Trading Assistant job
The purpose of your role will be to provide accurate and timely administration support to the Grocery Trading team, work closely with buyers, and ensure specific Trading activities & projects are delivered to the business promptly.
Key tasks
- Chase all suppliers for debt at the first point of communication and escalating where necessary and provide support personnel with chasing suppliers for latest turnover figures to support with forecasting and understanding latest position on performance.
- Input confirmed numbers into budget sheet, chase supplier for relevant changes and input correct data into companies software.
- Assist the team in the production of relevant docs for category reviews and request information when required.
- Chase suppliers for promotion submissions, and liaise with Trading support to create promotional spreadsheets, compile reports, chase suppliers for outstanding deliveries etc.
- Collect and collate forecasts from RDCs where needed and support completion of data and benchmarking and securing rationale from suppliers for any increases.
- Support the team in submitting supplier contacts and SKU level information, summarise weeks of stock cover and checking figures vs contract balances.
About You
The successful candidate should have qualifications and proficiency in both Maths and English, as well as a background of of analysing and interpreting data.
- Has worked in a fast-paced environment within a large team for a minimum of 1 year.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Works to deadlines effectively.
- Passionate about food.

The Food Trading Assistant job is based in North West London and is paying £26,000 + Bonus according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday - Friday during office hours & a 35-hour working week.
