Grounds Maintenance Contract Manager
Salary: 40,000 to 43,000 (depending on experience)
Car Allowance: 5,000 (or Company Car option)

Main Purpose of Job:
The Grounds Maintenance Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a public park's Grounds Maintenance.
This position involves managing contract performance, achieving objectives, fostering client relationships, leading people, ensuring safety compliance, and optimising financial performance.
Principal Accountabilities:
Contract Execution:
- Execute contracts to specification and within budget parameters.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for additional works to enhance service delivery.
Team Management:
- Plan and manage work schedules for colleagues on the contract.
- Address and improve performance in key contract areas.
- Recruit and select contract staff, ensuring the team is skilled and motivated.
Client Relationships:
- Act as an ambassador at client events, creating a positive and professional impression.
- Effectively communicate with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Employee Development:
- Focus on the performance and development of all contract staff.
- Manage employee relations issues in collaboration with HR.
- Implement and manage a contract-specific training plan, maintaining accurate training records.
Financial Management:
- Monitor progress regularly, reviewing cost and expenditure.
- Complete end-of-month financial performance sheets.
- Understand and implement the company's financial procedures.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Uphold knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to Health & Safety.
- Implement company policies on risk assessments and COSHH.
Facility Management:
- Take responsibility for the contract depot/office site, ensuring efficient operations.
Corporate Compliance:
- Encourage colleagues to display integrity through adherence to corporate clothing standards.
- Ensure vehicles and machinery are well-maintained, and sites are kept clean and tidy.
Collaboration and Technology:
- Utilise IT across all aspects of contract management.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Regularly report progress and participate in performance reviews.
- Manage the payroll inputting process for accurate and timely staff payments.
Requirements:
- Full driving licence required.
