We are seeking to recruit a full-time Grounds Assistant to join our dedicated and thriving Grounds Team. The post-holder will be expected to work on the maintenance of the grounds and gardens, presenting them to a high standard, including the preparation of the site for the different sports that are played throughout the year (Rugby, Cricket, Football & artificial surface).
The successful candidate will ideally have some relevant grounds experience but applicants who can demonstrate a positive attitude and a genuine interest in the role will still be considered. Support towards obtaining relevant professional qualifications will also be provided, for the right person.
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 depending on experience
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week; 7.00am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday.
Flexibility is required on occasions to cover specific events, paid at overtime rate.
During cricket season (April – July), a rota system is in operation to cover weekends, which normally involves working 2 out of 3 Saturdays (8am – 7pm). There is also a requirement to provide midweek cover during this time which is 2 hours extra a day (3pm – 5pm), once or twice a week.
