Sphere Solutions is currently looking for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to cover the Groundworks & Infrastructure packages on a large, new build housing project, near St Ives in Cornwall.

Suitable candidates will have experience in a similar role with extensive groundworks and house-building knowledge, including earthworks, drainage and road construction.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage Groundworks and Infrastructure packages.
• Supervise and monitor Site operatives and sub-contractors.
• Organise earthworks, plant and materials.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Work to tight programmes and deadlines
• Ensure Health & Safety is always to a high standard.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary.
• Manage project budgets and financials.
• Prepare and submit project reports and documentation.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
• Ability to ensure compliance with the works information, construction drawings and specifications.

Requirements:

• Must have extensive Groundwork and House Building knowledge
• Excellent health and safety knowledge and awareness.
• SMSTS ticket, CPCS/CSCS card and First Aid at Work.
• Good communication skills and must be confident liaising and dealing with the client.
