Site Manager - Groundworks

Sphere Solutions is currently looking for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to cover the Groundworks & Infrastructure packages on a large, new build housing project, near St Ives in Cornwall.
Suitable candidates will have experience in a similar role with extensive groundworks and house-building knowledge, including earthworks, drainage and road construction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Groundworks and Infrastructure packages.
- Supervise and monitor Site operatives and sub-contractors.
- Organise earthworks, plant and materials.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Work to tight programmes and deadlines
- Ensure Health & Safety is always to a high standard.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary.
- Manage project budgets and financials.
- Prepare and submit project reports and documentation.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Ability to ensure compliance with the works information, construction drawings and specifications.
Requirements:
- Must have extensive Groundwork and House Building knowledge
- Excellent health and safety knowledge and awareness.
- SMSTS ticket, CPCS/CSCS card and First Aid at Work.
- Good communication skills and must be confident liaising and dealing with the client.
