Group Accountant 6-Month Contract

Role – Group Accountant (6-month contract – with a view to become a permanent position).

This position is working for a global business with offices in Nottingham. They have grown substantially via acquisition and continues its journey. 

You can work from home four days per week, offering lots of flexibility for those who need it. Equally you are welcome to be in the office more frequently if that is a preference! (Location being north Nottingham).

This position will be pivotal in consolidating and delivering the group's monthly results and maintaining the group company’s ledger during a growth phase. Responsibilities include preparing the annual report, supporting audits, managing monthly payroll, and handling intercompany ledgers. Communication with divisions in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the USA is essential.

You will:

• Prepare monthly group consolidations with key reconciliations and checks, board reports from the consolidation, and design and manage annual half-year reporting packs
• Own the group company ledger, including journal calculations and month-end reconciliations
• Improve controls and processes in line with group policies
• Approve monthly payroll and assist in preparing the group consolidated annual report and work with auditors for timely sign-off

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with 2-3 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills.
• Experience with IFRS and FRS101.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a problem-solving mindset
