Group Accountant

Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their not-for-profit client for a permanent Group Accountant to join their busy team. This role offers an excellent salary package of £48,000 - £52,000 depending on experience + hybrid working (minimum 1 day a week in office), 37 days annual leave, flexi-time, private medical insurance & 11% pension contribution.
Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the financial management of various subsidiaries within the group with the help of an accounts assistant. You will provide high quality financial management & reporting & technical advice to the board. You will complete all monthly reporting, annual statutory accounts, budgeting & forecasting and financial analysis. You will finance business partner with various internal & external stakeholders, prepare quarterly & annual returns and lead on various process & system improvement projects. You will have line management responsibility for 1 staff member.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with a strong technical accounting & reporting background. You will be competent in monthly management & financial accounting, year-end reporting & budgeting & forecasting. You will be comfortable & confident in relaying financial information to non-financial stakeholders, in particular at board level.Staff supervision / management experience is a bonus but not essential.
