Group Accountant

Due to their growth I am supporting a progressive business in Stevenage who work in the design space to recruit a Group Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a full-time office based and exciting opportunity where you will join the business in a key phase of their growth, with the creation of this role to help support that trajectory.

Duties:

- Production of monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments, budgets & forecasting

- Reporting and analysis of month-end items

- Partner with Business Units to maximise stakeholder engagement

- Oversite of transactional team, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

- Consolidation of accounts and preparation of group statutory accounts

- Supporting auditors at year-end

- Quarterly reporting to Finance Director with commentary and analysis

Experience:

- Technically astute and able to produce accurate, timely set of monthly, quarter and annual accounts.

- Previous experience in manufacturing (stock and costing of Work-in-Progress (WIP)).

- Experience in high-growth entities

The successful candidate will be able to commute to the client offices in North Stevenage for full-time work and be effective in the duties listed above. You will be experienced in the use of CIT, WIP and be a qualified accountant, able to come in and hit the ground running.
