Group Financial Accountant

Role Summary:

IXICO are seeking a newly-qualified Group Financial Accountant to ensure accurate, complete, and timely delivery of Group and Company financial accounts, reports, and tax submissions. The role involves providing insights to aid decision-making, owning AIM financial reporting requirements, and fostering innovation in reporting and operational efficiencies.

Key Deliverables: 

• Timely and insightful business reporting, including monthly management accounts.
• Management of external and internal audit and delivery of the Group & subsidiaries Annual & Interim reports.
• Support in completing Group budgets & forecasts in line with financial calendar timelines.
• Look for opportunities to develop business partnering to drive innovation & efficiencies, including support for Group Pricing tool updates.
• Contribution to project work aligned with the business development plan.

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate month-end close activities and financial accounting for the Group.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including commentary on monthly transactions.
• Consolidation of the Group’s financial reporting including the preparation of monthly management reporting pack and detailed commentary.
• Support the full-year budgeting process and periodic reforecasting.
• Build strong relationships with operational teams to drive financial accuracy and completeness.
• Management of the financial elements of the Group payrolls, the bonus and sales commission schemes and the management share option incentive scheme.
• Responsible for statutory reporting including interim and full year financial statements and their audits, US subsidiary reporting and administration, UK corporation tax and R&D credits.
• Own revenue monitoring, currency risk management, and financial reporting systems.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement through contributing to project work related to business development, systems implementation, acquisitions, and operations.

Qualifications: 

• Newly qualified accountant up to 2 years post-qualification (ACA, ACCA, or similar).
• Up-to-date technical skills in accounting and reporting.
• Confident with IFRS statutory accounts for a listed company.
• Working knowledge of UK taxation, specifically R&D tax credits.
• Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience in accounting software packages (desirable but not essential).
• Track record of implementing process improvements.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and prioritisation skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on controls and processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
