Salary Join Our Team as Group Financial Accountant looking after a portfoilo of 17 hotels in located across the UK.
Position Profile:
As the Group Financial Accountant for Valor and DTGO, you'll lead financial accounting matters, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information. Your role involves managing month-end processes, audits, statutory accounts, and compliance matters. You'll be a key player in driving commercial success through creativity and innovation.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Month-End Mastery: Oversee the month-end process, ensuring the accuracy of consolidation reporting workbooks and journals.
Audit Excellence: Manage the annual and half-yearly audit and statutory accounts process, collaborating with the wider Valor and DTGO Finance team.
Statutory Sleuth: Prepare statutory accounts for all group companies, liaising with auditors on disclosure notes and filings.
Financial Reports Maestro: Review and provide commentary on the quarterly bank covenant report and IPD. Prepare monthly balance sheets and cash flow reports.
Tax Tango: Reconcile quarterly VAT submissions, prepare supporting information for annual UK corporation returns, and liaise with tax advisors.
Cash Flow Captain: Keep the cash flow forecast updated, providing insights into actuals, the next 90 days, and a rolling 12-month outlook.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Valor and DTGO Finance team, auditors, company secretary, HMRC, and tax advisors.
Desired Skills and Education:
Education: Qualified ACA or ACCA level with managerial experience, ideally from both industry and practice backgrounds. Group statutory reporting, audit, and taxation experience are essential.
Experience: Managerial experience in the hotel/leisure sector is desirable. Familiarity with the Sun accounting system is a plus.
Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication skills, meticulous planning abilities, and adept at handling multiple workflows.
