A fast-paced and ambitious FMCG Business based in Central London is looking for a hands-on ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Group Financial Controller to join them on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with the real possibility of becoming a permanent job after this time. It is envisaged that when this role becomes permanent the role will then become a Finance Directorship in which you can build your finance team. Reporting to the CEO and working in a close-knit senior leadership team, the Group FC will initially:
- Lead on the monthly management reporting including group consolidations, intercompany reconciliations and production of the monthly management accounts
- Process Accounts Payable invoices, complete payment runs and resolve AP queries
- Be responsible for group-wide Sales Ledger including tracking and raising invoices, credit control and weekly sales analysis/reporting.
- Oversee banking and cash management including bank reconciliation and cash forecasting
- Prepare the monthly payroll for the outsourced payroll provider.
- Business Partner with SLT to provide ad-hoc accurate and timely financial information
Once the role becomes permanent other duties will include:
- Oversee the group-wide Audit
- Statutory reporting
- FP&A
- Short/medium and long-term budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee Taxation issues
- Be integral to external fundraising..
It is envisaged the Group Financial Controller will be ACA/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with 3-10 years PQE and experience working within an SME. In the initial stages you will need to be happy to work in a sole charge role and be hands-on but be adaptable enough to grow into the Finance Director job and build your team. Experience within FMCG would be advantageous.
