Group Financial Controller

Our client is a fast-growing, PE backed technology company which has recently acquired another business and has plans for future M&A activity.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage the day-to-day financial activities of the business whilst also leading on group reporting and supporting the group\'s budgeting and forecasting. As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering financial management and reporting within the group of companies.
With a small team you will develop more efficient and effective processes including customer contract management and invoicing and maintain control schedules, creating monthly journals through to management accounts level. Working with the FD you will develop and deliver company and group reporting to both operational management and to the board including both financial and KPI reporting as well as developing company and group forecasting and the preparation of annual budgets.
Taking ownership of the business model you will liaise with business unit managers and within finance to update the model and monitor outputs. You will prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reporting to banks and shareholders for review by the FD in accordance with monthly deadlines and manage company and group payroll and related staff benefits, including pension and DIS.
This broad role will deliver weekly and monthly cash forecasting for FD review and respond to the treasury management demands of the business and lead as well as support in a number of areas of tax planning and management including VAT, R&D tax credits and Payroll taxes. You will lead the preparation for the audits for the y/e June 24 including the first group consolidated accounts.
What you\'ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience at Financial Controller level within a fast-moving business or within practice at Manager level working to tight deadlines. You will have a proven track record of delivery and development within previous roles and a strong technical accounting background with a good understanding of UK Gaap. With strong practical analytical skills, you will have the ability to effectively interpret and summarise data and be a self-starter who is able to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight. Experience implementing new systems and processes would be highly desirable.
