All About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to work within the Group Health & Safety Team to develop and promote a positive culture across the business, this will include developing and supporting the implementation of the Group Safety Management System; Providing professional support to several sites within a defined region, working with local Operations Managers and Business Heads to ensure that all areas of H&S legislation, policy, strategy are implemented at site level.
Specific tasks will include:
- To ensure compliance with Group policies and with all relevant legislation
- To develop and implement Group Health & Safety Improvement Plans
- Coordination of all Health and Safety matters
- Act as focal point for reporting, communication, tracking of all defect reports and H&S improvement actions
- Help to identify and share best practices throughout the Group and to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business in respect of the overall Health & Safety Management System
- Provide guidance and support to operations staff for Risk Assessments, local safe working procedures and incident investigations
- To record and analyse incidents and H&S performance, reporting KPIs and communicating performance effectively as required
- To ensure that effective sharing and learning exists across all sites within scope and throughout the Group as appropriate.
- Ensuring that training and professional qualifications are maintained to ensure ongoing professional competence

You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.
Essential Skills for the role:
- Hold IOSH membership ideally Chartered Membership
- Hold a NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum requirement (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent would be desirable.)
- Demonstrate a positive track record attained over a minimum of 3 years H&S Experience in a manufacturing, process engineering or logistics environment.
- Have experience of implementing assessments, prevention, and control techniques in manufacturing environments (ideally being an experienced Auditor (ISO))
- To fully support your allocated sites, regular visits to your sites will be essential, you may also need to travel to other sites within the Group; this could well lead to overnight stays, so a full UK driving license with the ability to travel frequently and stay away as needed is essential.
