Job description

We are looking for an experienced Group HR Manager to join our team. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE) plus benefits.

About the role:

As a Group HR Manageryou will be responsible for all aspects of HR services for our UK and overseas team members in the US, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, India, and Australia.  Reporting to the Head of Group Operations, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the HR function and will be responsible for developing the Group’s HR plan and key initiatives for the coming year.  While working in support of the overall Company strategy, you will be focussed on the delivery of all operational aspects of HR.  In this role, you will also have line management responsibility for the HR Advisor, plus a part-time HR Advisor in the US. 

Responsibilities as our Group HR Manager will include:

  • Working closely with the Head of Group Operations and Communications and Engagement Manager to develop and implement the HR Plan.
  • Managing and coordinating all HR communication requirements, working closely with the Communications and Engagement Manager.
  • Monitoring and evaluating all aspects of HR via regular feedback and make recommendations for improvement and action.
  • Implementing and maintaining Group and country-specific employment policies in line with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Administering and developing our benefits offering across our different locations.
  • Developing processes and procedures and ensuring the HR elements of SOC2 and ISO270001 audits are passed.
  • Maintaining the Group’s recruitment process.  Managing the Group’s recruitment activity, working alongside hiring managers and develop and maintain induction and probation processes.
  • Developing and maintaining an accurate and insightful HR management information system.
  • Working with the Group finance team to support efficient payroll processing (payroll is owned by the Finance team).

Knowledge and experience we're looking for in our Group HR Manager:

  • Good working knowledge of employment law in a commercial environment.
  • Relevant experience gained from either a stand-alone or very hands on role along with line management experience.
  • Experience with managing the whole employee life cycle.
  • Global HR experience supporting HR needs outside of the UK. (Experience of working with employees based in the USA and their employment practices would be an advantage).
  • Experience of implementing and improving HR process and procedures.
  • CIPD qualified, with good working knowledge of employment legislation in a commercial environment with experience of explaining legal requirements to managers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with a rapidly changing environment and act on own initiative to improve processes and solve problems as they arise.
  • Strong IT and numeracy skills both in relation to HR specific systems and the ability to manage data and undertake HR data analysis.  The use of Hi-Bob HR Platform would be an advantage.
  • Experience of specifying and managing projects.
