We have an exciting new opportunity for two Group Internal Auditors to join the Anglian Water team.
The aim of Group Internal Audit is to provide independent effective assurance that Anglian Water Group's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. You will be part of the team carrying out internal audits to assess, enhance and develop controls over Primary Risk Areas and key risks across the business.

What you'll be doing:
As a part of the Group Internal Audit team, your role will focus on delivery of the Internal Audit plan on an annual and quarterly basis. Collaborating closely with the Head of Internal Audit and Group Internal Audit Manager, you will ensure the execution of a risk-based audit plan aligned with the standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors. Your responsibilities will involve either supporting or leading individual audits, ensuring they adhere to quality and time requirements, and align with commitments made to the Audit Committee.
Your duties will extend to formulating and executing testing strategies to evaluate the design and efficacy of key and non-key controls. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for control enhancements and produce concise reports that effectively convey key audit findings. Your recommendations will aim to address the identified control issues.

What does it take to be successful?
- Experience of working within a fast paced, diverse, matrixed environment
- Strong inter-personal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with business unit staff & senior management across the organisation. Will be required to be both tactful and assertive.
- Experience of working within Internal Audit or other related Assurance roles (e.g. Risk and Compliance) is a bonus but not a requirement
- Experience of working with stakeholders outside of your own team
- Accountancy or audit qualification an advantage, but not a necessity
- Inquisitive, methodical, analytical and with a good eye for detail
- A self-starter who is flexible and willing to take on fresh challenges
