Job Description
- Working closely with the Risk and Compliance team to ensure clear process documentation and responsibility lines exist in relation to all RMAR (Retail Mediation Activities Return) reporting for the FCA.
- Ensuring clear understanding is maintained and documented regarding definitions, interpretation and application of FCA guidance in relation to regulatory reporting for The Group
- Responsibility for ensuring appropriate management information is available and suitable for use in regulatory submissions.
- Responsibility for ensuring documented process is followed for all RMAR submissions by relevant stakeholders.
- Working with controls team to implement strong control environment in order to reduce risk of erroneous reporting.
- Overall responsibility for accurate and timely preparation of RMAR submissions line with FCA deadlines.
- Responsibility for ONS (Office of National Statistics) reporting.
- Supporting the Group Reporting team with various reporting requirements including (but not limited to):
- Quarterly reporting for private equity owners
- Reporting for pension trustees
- Biannual bank covenant reporting
- Central forecasting and budgeting
The Successful Applicant
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:* Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment.
* Experience gained working in a large Group with complex reporting requirements.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience
* Highly numerate with good communication skills, both verbal and written with strong report writing skills
* Excellent and proven stakeholder engagement and management skills
* Experience of working with systems (e.g. SAP, BCP)
Education and Qualifications:* Qualified accountant ACA
* Minimum of 5 years post qualified experience
Personal Characteristics:* Able to work unsupervised and outside defined scope of the role
* Highly accurate, thorough and reliable
* Pro active in dealing with problems, people and tasks
* Drives issues to conclusion
* Self-motivated, highly organised and methodical with attention to detail.
