My client, a leading global industrial services business in Warrington, are looking to recruit a Group Reporting Manager.
The Group Reporting Manager will manage a team of 2 qualified accountants, and take full responsibility for the UK external reporting, audit process, consolidation, technical accounting, as well as several other ad hoc projects throughout the year.
This is a pivotal management role, working closely with the Head of Finance and CFO, and has huge exposure across this globally renowned group. The business is highly acquisitive, with no two days the same, so it's a really exciting opportunity to learn and take on a wide variety of challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of external audit process, including projects to drive audit efficiency
- Delivery of UK statutory accounts
- Half year reporting
- Management and review of the sub-group consolidation process
- Oversight of management accounting for head office entities, including budgeting and monthly reporting
- Supporting UK finance teams with improving financial control, including intercompany reconciliation process
- Lead on technical accounting matters, preparing accounting papers for management and the auditors
- Pension scheme liaison
- Ad hoc assistance on projects
- Management of two qualified accountants
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA qualified, ideally big 4
- Significant years PQE in a complex accounting role
- Strong technical consolidation experience, including financial instruments, writing of technical accounting papers etc
- Previous managerial experience preferred but not essential
