We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our Customer & Commercial Team leading National Groups sales, proactively managing and cultivating key industry/client relationships to achieve and exceed group targets ensuring that we act for the good of British racing in everything we do.

The Group Sales Manager will
• Have overall accountability for delivering the National groups sales budget, increasing new business from group operators at all Racecourses.
• Proactively drive National group B2B sales for racecourses, exceeding sales targets and upselling where possible.
• Achieve specific performance targets and KPI’s to maximize revenue.
• Drive growth by managing key accounts and encouraging them to spend across multi sites.
• Proactively sell to all prospective customers, by researching them thoroughly and using conversion tactics to win new business for the Group.
• Evaluate and recommend the required processes, structure and resources required to maximise profit from Group Sales across the Group.
• Work closely with the National Sales Director on implementing Group Sales strategy for the racecourse fixtures, in line with the Jockey Club vision and long-term strategic plan.
• Work closely with the Customer relations and National Marketing teams to ensure a joined-up approach to customer journey and delivery.
• Undertake sales tasks to drive groups business across the portfolio, such as participate and host events, client site visits and meetings, industry exhibitions and open days.
• Use innovative techniques to drive new business across the Group, in line with the overall sales strategy.
• Ensure effective management of enquiries, including client communication regarding their booking, ensuring details are up-to-date and diary notes are maintained within EBMS (and other systems) throughout sales process.
About you
• Experienced Commercial leader with demonstrated success in a sales and target driven environment with proven results in achieving financial targets.
• Outstanding relationship builder comfortable collaborating and influencing a wide range of stakeholders within a matrix structure.
• Excellent communicator able to lead meetings effectively both over the phone and in person.
• Track record of developing long-term relationships with new and existing clients providing them with a premium service to help grow accounts.
• Results oriented with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines with a focused attention to detail.
• Dynamic approach to the workplace with positive outlook and flexible style
• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Always planning to consider the macro environment, the competition, and the needs of our customers (internal and external).
