This exceptional business now has an opportunity for a home-based, confident and enthusiastic Sales Manager, to join them, selling their range of products and managing the sales team.
The Role
The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Organisation, motivation, and leadership of the UK team of Sales Account Managers
- Development and performance of sales activities
- Achieve a continuous sales growth both personally and group-wide to achieve maximum profitability
- Reporting on sales activities, business trends, customer feedback and competitors’ activity
- Working closely with other in-house teams, particularly NPD and marketing
- Monitoring and actioning sales office queries, documentation and supply chain issues
- Attending trade fairs, exhibitions and head office meetings as required
- Working closely with the credit control department to ensure overdue accounts are settled
- Research of potential opportunities, looking at market trends, events and competition
- Monitoring the sales teams KPIs, progress and performance, conducting reviews and agreeing plans
- Forecasting and planning sales strategies
Personal Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales of food ingredients
- Sales team management experience is essential
- Competent IT skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Good trouble shooter with strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills at all levels
- Food Science qualification preferred, or related field
- Dynamic, positive working attitude
- Full Driving Licence
- Although home-based, you will be required to travel across the UK
