Group Tax Manager - Inhouse Full Or Part Time Hale

UK based Plc with a mixed portfolio of businesses mainly linked to property and leisure, seeks an experienced, qualified tax professional to head up a small in-house team. In this role you will manage the compliance and reporting for the group. This includes:
•    Management of corporate tax reporting and compliance.
•    Review of computations prepared by a tax accountant.
•    Partnership tax compliance and reporting.
•    Oversight of the VAT position for the group (VAT returns are prepared by the accounts team). 
•    Management of the relationship with HMRC including dealing with enquiries and overall working to gain a low risk rating.
•    Management of external advisers. 
•    SAO reporting. 
•    Creation and implementation of tax policies and processes. 
•    Advice to the board of directors regarding material tax issues. 
•    Acting as the first point of contact for all tax queries from the business.
•    Working collaboratively with the legal team on transactions including tax due diligence. 
Ideally you will be CTA qualified (ACA, ICAS or equivalent) with a sound background in UK corporate tax. You may already have worked in-house or may be in practice and looking for a first Group Tax role.  This role can be worked on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office in Hale. Our client will consider either a part-time appointment (4 days) or full time. You will report in to the CFO and will have 1 direct report initially.
