Group Tax Manager

Air Personnel are delighted to be supporting their client for the role of Group Tax Manager based at Blackbushe.Purposes of the role of the Group Tax ManagerTasked with providing advisory and compliance aspects for both direct and indirect taxation across various Group entities, this role will be the main point of contact for cross-border tax issues within the business.The role will also include the examination of current and future planned company initiatives, liaising with professional accounting firms to minimise group company tax exposures, ensuring tax filing deadlines are met and local and international tax compliance is achieved.Own a number of specific UK tax related activities such as Patent Box, SME R&D and RDEC reporting for multiple UK group entities.The Role and Role Specific Competencies of the Group Tax ManagerMaintain an awareness and understanding of international tax developments impacting the group and its entities, offering expert advice and guidance on tax matters to Finance and other finance teams throughout the organisation;• Conduct comprehensive investigations to identify and advise on potential (direct and indirect) tax exposures arising from the activities of group companies;• Manage all Permanent Establishment (PE) reporting obligations including, but not limited to, PEs in India and Norway;• Provide strategic tax advice pertaining to business model changes including the expansion of service revenue, the introduction of online shops, licensing and subscription revenues and construction supervisory/oversight activities;• Manage any UK specific corporate tax processes including, but not limited to patent box claims, SME R&D enhanced expenditure reliefs and RDEC tax credits;• Collaborate with relevant finance team members to maintain UK Transfer Pricing Local Files for all UK entities, produce the Group Master file and Group country-by-country reports on an annual basis.QualificationsQualified accountant or a specialist tax advisory, ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA or equivalent 5+ years PQE Degree qualifiedThis is an excellent opportunity to join a group of companies.
