Growth Support Officer
Hook, RG27 9UY (hybrid role – 1 or 2 days in Hook)
Occasional travel to London office
Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Up to £28,000 per annum plus benefits
Serco are a leading global services provider committed to delivery essential public services across Defence, Health, Justice & Immigration, Community Services, Leisure and Environmental. We are currently looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team as a Growth Support Officer. This role will play a crucial role in providing administrative support across a range of day-to-day Growth activities, coordinating activities within our Divisional Business Units, and acting as an interface for Growth operations.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide administrative support across various Growth activities, ensuring smooth coordination with Divisional Business Units.
- Manage diary appointments for the Director of Marketing, and Growth Directors for Defence, Health, and Citizen Services, ensuring timely circulation of agendas and briefing papers. Record actions and ensure follow-up when required.
- Organise travel arrangements via Concur, adhering to SMS guidelines.
- Submit monthly expenses as required, following SMS guidelines.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new starters and process leavers using People First, including ordering IT equipment, and preparing induction plans.
- Regularly update the Growth MS Teams and SharePoint sites, ensuring all documents are current and easily accessible.
- Create purchase orders (POs) in accordance with internal processes, ensuring timely submission.
- Onboard new suppliers on Guide to Buying as requested, serving as the point of contact between supplier and requestor.
- Support ad-hoc Growth activities and projects, including Growth and Marketing Events.
- Occasional travel to London and Solihull, in addition to other office/ contract locations as and when required.
- Provide cover for Executive Assistant to the Chief Growth Officer during their absence.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision and take initiative to deliver required outcomes.
- Effective communication skills with senior management across the business.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Capability to work calmly and accurately to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and proactively support colleagues in their duties.
- SAP experience preferable, but not essential; training will be provided.
