Hairdressing, Barbering, and Beauty Level 1 Assessor
Due to our continued business growth and the successful first year of the JGW+ contract, as we move into the second year of the contract, we are growing our team further, recruiting a hardworking, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Health and Beauty Assessor.
Salary Banding: £24,500-£27,000 dependant on skills and experience
Location: covering a regional area, travelling to visit learners at various Itec Centre locations
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m.–4.30 p.m.
What are the core responsibilities of this role?
· Responsible for providing specialist route support to learners within the workshop or in a one-on-one setting.
· Response for ensuring learners timely achievement of their qualifications.
· Responsible for opening and registering qualifications.
· Responsible for registering, arranging, conducting, and invigilating controlled tasks with learners undertaking their qualification in line with award body requirements.
· Responsible for carrying out all organisational and administrative work, preparation, and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities.
· Monitor and ensure the timely completion and accuracy of all learner documentation required to reflect a true and accurate record of the learning route and progress.
· Responsible for continuously developing learning materials and resources to support delivery requirements.
· Accountable for liaising with team members in the development and delivery of qualifications
What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?
Essential
· Assessor Award, CAVA Qualification, or 8375 Practitioner Award Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
· Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
Desirable
· Experience working with young people and being passionate about making a difference.
· Engaging and inspirational training and delivery style
· The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.
