Job Title: Head Chef for Buffet Restaurant

Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Lead and supervise the preparation and cooking of all buffet dishes, ensuring they are executed to perfection and meet our quality standards.
- Ingredient Sourcing: Source high-quality ingredients while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Kitchen Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management of kitchen staff.
- Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes across all buffet offerings.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage, handling, and cleanliness of kitchen facilities and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste to maximize profitability.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the restaurant management team to develop promotional strategies, special events, and themed buffet nights.
- Customer Satisfaction: Consistently strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering exceptional service and culinary experiences.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, culinary techniques, and customer preferences to continuously enhance the buffet offerings and overall dining experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume buffet restaurant or similar culinary environment.
- Extensive knowledge of buffet-style food preparation, presentation techniques, and menu development.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- In-depth understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred, but not required with significant experience.

Salary: £32,733.00-£35,484.00 per year
