Greenacre are happy to be working with a Birmingham-based housing association in their search for a permanent Head of Asset & Compliance. Reporting directly in to the Exec Director of Property, this role is responsible for the implementation of the Asset Management Strategy, to ensure the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective strategies for their property portfolio, alongside managing the Compliance team.
The role includes:
- Leading the team in the effective maintenance, investment and performance of the organisation Assets and ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Leading on the provision of data, analysis and innovative approaches in the development, review and implementation of the Asset Management and Safety Strategy.
- Responsibility for the determination and delivery the organisation’s 30-year stock investment programme and ensuring it is appropriately funded
- Using stock performance data develop and implement a stock appraisal system to identify properties and make suitable recommendations for disposal, investment, remodelling or alternative use
- Overseeing the delivery of programmes of planned maintenance and to ensure effective performance monitoring, lifecycle costing techniques and quality management.
- Ensuring the team effectively manages contractor’s performance delivering building works at a project level including safety, quality, value, progress and KPIs.
- Taking responsibility for ensuring all correspondence, complaints and claims are dealt with effectively within the service and within required timescales.
- Overseeing the management planned and service contracts to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
- Leading on the development and delivery of the organisation’s building safety programme and the asset compliance framework.
The right candidate will have:
- Strong experience of relevant health and safety regulations relating to Housing.
- Experience of business planning, budget setting and delivery and risk management.
- A strong awareness and understanding of the key current Government policies and priorities on housing.
- Experience in the production of asset management strategies understanding of component cycles and development of setting 30-year investment programme.
