AFBI is seeking an outstanding individual with a high level of expertise and knowledge of Chemical analysis for food and feed contaminants to join its scientific team and to lead our work in this area. The Head of Chemical Surveillance Branch will lead AFBI’s work on statutory analysis and research in the areas of veterinary drug residues, chemical contaminants of food and feed, marine biotoxins and high sensitivity mass spectrometry. These activities are key to supporting the safety of food chains, Northern Ireland and UK trade guarantees as well as promoting the wholesomeness of Northern Ireland food products.
