As Head of Commercial Contracts, you'll lead the contracting strategy and manage contractor relationships, ensuring value for money and efficient delivery of all network-build projects. You'll collaborate with various teams, lead tenders, and maintain a healthy supply chain.
Managing 3 direct reports, you will champion the development of the function and its capabilities as the business goes through an interesting phase of re-tendering. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to set up and deliver on tender plans which will ensure key milestones are being achieved, as well as identify opportunities to improve cost/efficiencies
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement contractor strategies
- Lead and manage the Pre-Contract team
- Oversee tender processes and contract awards
- Ensure timely contract awards for key projects
- Engage and onboard prospective suppliers
- Monitor supply risks and procurement policies
- Drive efficiency and value through data analysis
What We're Looking For:
- Expert in construction and telecoms contracts with knowledge of NEC3
- Experience in running tender programmes at a senior level, executive negotiations and pricing/cost reviews.
- Proven team leadership in a dynamic environment
- Innovative commercial approach development
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Experience in large construction projects
