Job description

The Head of Communications and Engagement will be a vital part of our team, leading the strategic development and delivery of our Communications and Engagement strategy. This role is pivotal to growing the reach and influence of their work across the charitable and public sectors. This is a permanent, part-time role.

Our client is a charitable organisation working hard to drastically improve the safety of the community by funding research and practical interventions via its partner organisations.

Description

The responsibilities of the Head of Communications and Engagement will be to:

  • Develop a Communications and Engagement strategy to build trust and awareness of the organisation's brand, providing a strong platform for dissemination, advocacy, and influence in the sector and beyond.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the public sector and its policy makers.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in the sector and beyond.
  • Lead on the delivery of a digital media strategy; developing and enhancing new and current social media platforms.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and Engagement initiatives.
  • Represent the organisation at key events in the business services industry.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align Communications and Engagement with strategic goals.

Profile

A successful Head of Communications and Engagement should have:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A proven track-record in engaging with public sector stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management abilities.
  • A thorough understanding of the business services industry.
  • Proficiency in using modern communication tools and platforms.

Job Offer
