Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Salary: £80,000 per annum

It’s an exciting time for the business as they are expanding into new markets with ambitious plans to quadruple the size of the business within the next 3 years. They have a current turnover of £80m with a clear aim to be the industry leader in making homes more energy efficient whilst reducing energy costs.

Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs– The Role:

You would take full responsibility for managing, developing, and growing the compliance function, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration. Taking on a new role would include assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks as well as ensuring that the company adheres to the correct laws and regulations including FCA and Ofgem.

Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs– Key Responsibilities:

- Create and execute compliance initiatives and policies to guarantee compliance with applicable laws and regulations

- Supervise compliance audits, evaluations, and internal inquiries to discover and minimise potential violations and risks

- Offer direction and training to employees on compliance obligations, promoting an ethical work environment

- Stay updated on regulatory modifications, ensuring the organisation's practices and policies remain current and in line with industry benchmarks

- Work closely with senior management and other departments to embed compliance into the company's strategic decision-making and risk management procedures

Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs– You:

- A proven track record of overseeing compliance activities for a similar or growing organisation

- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards within the energy sector

- Strong skills in leadership and building relationships, being able to communicate effectively

- Success in identifying and mitigating compliance risks to ensure they are addressed appropriately
