The new Head of Digital Content will be managing a team of two, responsible for proactive communications planning, supporting brand- partnerships and leading oversight of publications, briefings and digital media.
We're looking for an expert content producer with a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for the energy transition.
Key responsibilities:
Content generation
- Take the lead on managing proactive communications planning
- Drafting of non-policy reports and content generation
- Quality control of all external-facing communications: policy reports, briefings, explainers etc
- Proactive thought leadership/ blogs/ op-eds as required, working closely with press team
- Developing relationships with member communications teams to promote member's activities
- Supporting the campaigns and communications manager in developing high-impact campaigns
Digital and Brand
- Overall responsibility for website and Digital Communications
- Oversee social media strategy and ensure day-to-day Digital Communications are executed to a high standard
- Liaising with agencies for large design work
- Central point of contact for brand-partnerships, with support from the wider team
We're looking for:
- excellent writing skills with the ability to draw out engaging narrative from complex information
- an avid proof-reader, with attention to detail for accuracy, grammar and consistency
- a highly motivated, proactive individual, able to work across teams and external stakeholders
- a great people manager, comfortable supporting and empowering two direct reports in a busy, often high-pressure environment
- an eye for brand and design and experience managing external agencies
- keen interest in Digital Communications trends
- passionate about all things affecting the UK energy industry
- Prior experience dealing with media is a bonus
