A Head of Engineering is needed to join a fast-growing Health-tech company dedicated to transforming healthcare through cutting-edge artificial intelligence and ML solutions.
They are on a mission to improve patient outcomes, streamline healthcare processes, and enhance the overall quality of NHS care.
As the Head of Engineering you will be pivotal in driving a company's technical vision and ensuring the successful execution of Engineering projects.You will lead and manage 4 multi-disciplinary team of Software Engineers, Data scientists, and machine learning experts.
Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering high-impact products, services, and innovations that have the potential to save lives and improve patient well-being.
You will ideally have progressed from a background as an Engineer, with a particular emphasis on creating consumer-oriented products utilizing microservice architecture principles, be proficient in DevOps and well-versed in the best practices of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Requirements:
- Previous leadership or managerial experience in a software development environment.
- Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and development tools.
- Provide technical guidance, particularly in complex problem-solving and architectural decisions.
- Strong knowledge of various software development methodologies, including TDD, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams.
- An advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
