Head of Estates | 6 Months | Manchester | £280 - £370 per day | Immediate Start

Client:

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Head of Estates to join a large Public Sector organisation in Manchester for a 6 month assignment (with a strong possibility of extension). The assignment can start immediately.

Role:

The role is to be the lead of a busy Estates Team, who provide maintenance services to the organisation’s sites, duties will include;

Responsibilities will include;

• Being responsible for the safe and compliant operational delivery of Estates (Hard FM) services across Greater Manchester
• Senior Leadership Team, they will influence the strategic development of a diverse range of Estates Services
• Provide accountability for the day-to-day management and delivery of the Asset Register, Reactive Maintenance Programme, Planned Preventative Maintenance, New Works and Backlog Maintenance Programme, Space Utilisation, Fire Safety Management and Medical Devices Management
• Regularly attend patient meetings and forums, liaising with service users and carers as appropriate
• Apply and provide specialist knowledge and advice on service requirements including statutory obligations, best practice and standard operating procedures

The successful candidate will have;

• Significant experience of mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience of managing a large team
• Previous experience of working within public buildings would be advantageous
• It would be desirable to be a member of a relevant professional institute (CIBSE, IEE, IHEEM, etc.) or similar Chartered Professional Body
