St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare for patients with some of the most complex, challenging mental health needs in the UK. They provide care across a number of services, including Men’s Mental Health, Women’s Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Neuropsychiatry, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Learning Disability, with the majority of the charity’s 600 patients referred via the NHS.
The newly created role of Head of Estates Services will support the delivery of a customer focussed facilities function in line with the charity’s corporate and asset strategy. The estates function is set to embark on a period of transformation to operate in a more commercial manner whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care.
Reporting to the Director of Estates & Facilities, the Head of Estates Services will drive the strategic direction, implementation and overall operational delivery of Hard FM, Soft FM, Project Delivery and Business Partnering Services, as a member of the Estates & Facilities Senior Leadership Team.
Head of Estates Services will be responsible and accountable for providing leadership of a wide array of services including:

• Soft FM (Grounds Maintenance, Housekeeping, Patient Catering, In-House Laundry, Security, Secure Receptions, Fleet and Patient Transport, Site Logistics, Portering).
• Hard FM functions including Repairs & Maintenance, PPM.
• Capital Project Delivery & Capex Management.
• Business Partnering.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in a senior property or estates management role, possessing a naturally customer centric operating style with continued drive to improve operating standards.
A highly commercial approach teamed with an understanding of the overall ambitions of the organisation and strong stakeholder engagement skills are vital to success in the role. With responsibility for a large team of FM/estates professionals, the Head of Estates Services will ensure effective delivery of the strategy through people, whilst acting as a mentor and assisting with their continued career development.
