Head of Finance

Location: Teesside

Salary: up to £110,000 plus £9,000 car allowance

Hours: Monday - Friday / Full time / Permanent

Benefits:

35days holidays,

Up to 12% pension,

private medical for employee + partner + dependants,

Annual Incentive Plan of 5% depending on performance and site performance.

LTI (long term incentive) paid from 3rd Year then annual pay-out of up to 20% baseline salary.

Imperial Recruitment Group are working with a global organisation based in Teesside who are looking to appoint a Head of Finance.

Main purpose of the role:

You will be leading the finance team across the site, driving finance-related initiatives, and taking these to the Site Leadership Team.

Duties:

Support the Site Leadership Team local direction setting and lead finance related activities.

Support and drive cross-functional processes including stakeholders in all areas of the site

Lead the site finance team having full P&L and balance sheet accountability.

Responsible for finance accounting, site management accounting, treasury and cashflow forecasting, working capital management, site capex, payroll, forecasting and budget setting as well as medium term and long-term plans.

Support the continuous development of the team around you, focusing on optimizing and stabilising the financial operations on the growth journey as well as developing a high-performing, motivated and competent team.

Support change management related to the future setup of Finance on site, in the business, and globally. Build cross-functional processes across the site and the FDB network.

Support and drive cross-site financial deliveries with the Small-Scale Business Unit Support and drive implementation of new processes and solutions.

Overall site responsibility for running the finance activities.

Drive and control active working capital management to optimise cashflow for the site.

Working closely with the site leadership team and management teams to ensure they understand the importance of profitability and active cash management.

Overall site responsibility for Financial statutory reporting and tax statement reporting and filing

Accountable for the success external and internal audits as well as any other inspections from other regulated bodies including tax authorities

Work closely with the FDB strategic investments group to understand and influence new site investment strategy for growth. Understand the impact of both the capex and operational model on operating performance, cashflow forecasting and site growth plans.

Accountable for insurance for the site working closely with the insurance broker, ensuring risks are appropriately monitored, queries are dealt with in a timely manner and annual renewal is completed on time.

Represent with company for the FDBK Pension Fund working with the Pension trustees and consultants to agree and drive pension strategy going forward.

The role will be required to represent the site leadership team with customer visits, all employee presentations and off site networking events

Act as an authorised signatory for commercial contracts, approver of site spend (eg Capital and recruitment) and control the authorisations matrix for the site, ensuring global alignment as far as possible.

Requirements:

Experience of leading finance teams at a Senior level within a larger corporation and being part of a leadership team. Understands of the importance of Strategy and its role in driving a business forward

Natural self-starter with a systematic and dynamic approach to work Ability to be the courageous challenger to the status quo, especially in financial matters. Driving change and alignment with the right problem-solving attitude finding the solution that fits everyone.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and convey concise information

High level of attention to detail with very good analytical and data management skills.

Experience of working with multi-site, multinational organisations on different time zones.

Able to build and maintain effective and credible relationships with key stakeholders.

Knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS

Professional Accounting ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, or equivalent with minimum 10 years experience in a global or International impacting role preferable in a manufacturing environment
