In this role, you will:

• Have direct line management of a sizable team, overseeing their professional development and ensure they meet all deadlines as required.
• Have responsibility for the development and leadership of the research operations service for the department using a business partnering approach.
• Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders to promote full financial comprehension and to ensure donor/grant requirements are met.
• Providing professional knowledge of internal and external regulations, policies and financial procedures and ensuring audit compliance.

The successful candidate will:

• Come from a similar, research driven organisation and have a good understanding of grant funding experience.
• Have experience line managing or supervising a large team.
• Have a technical understanding of Finance and be able to manipulate large volumes of data.
• Have clear Business Partnering skills with the confidence to develop and maintain good working relationships.
