SalaryThis is a key role supporting the CFO and ensuring there are sound Financial Controls and procedures in place throughout the finance function.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Ensuring Financial Control and reporting procedures are in place and executed affectively across the finance function
- Play a lead role in managing the tax requirements including both direct and indirect (Corporate Tax/VAT) implications
- Oversee the statutory year end and accounts preparation procedures under relevant accounting standards
- Input into the financial planning and budgeting processes
- Ensure a robust risk framework is adhered to
- Managing a small team of direct reports
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills and experience
- Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA/ACCA)
- Strong Taxation, VAT and Financial Reporting / Year end experience
- Experience within a similar sector such as retail, FMCG, distribution would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
