I am recruiting the Head of Financial Operations (interim to permanent) for a rapidly expanding venture capital (VC) backed technology client that is currently undergoing a large finance transformation project.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for leading the transactional accounting team (10-15 heads) moulding that team into a best-in-class Financial Operations function.
To do this you will:
- Implement, embed and utilise systems (NetSuite), automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and technology in general to drive operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, coach and develop your Financial Operations / transactional accounting team.
- Develop and embed best practice financial processes across the rapidly expanding Group.
This vital role would suit a candidate who has managed Financial Operations in a dynamic environment, knows what good financial process looks like, and is excited by the opportunity to build a high-performing team and implement best financial practice in a young growing business.
You will need to demonstrate:
- The skills and aptitude to develop and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
- A strong leadership profile and a demonstrable track record of implementing technology (i.e., automation) to improve and drive financial efficiency.
- Hands-on ERP exposure, NetSuite would be an advantage.
- Extensive experience in leading transactional finance teams (i.e., AP, AR, P2P, O2C, Treasury etc.) in organisations going through a significant period of change / financial transformation.
- The ability to approach challenges systematically and collaboratively, aiming for efficiency and precision.
- The curiosity and strong communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making, be flexible and adaptable in approach and confidence to challenge appropriately where necessary.
- Experience from a changing and dynamic finance environment undertaking a broad range of finance tasks and responsibilities.
You must be immediately available / available on short notice and be open to an interim to permanent opportunity.
Hybrid working - 1-2 days per week in Reading office.
