Head of FP&A

About the Role:
As the Head of FP&A, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the financial planning and analysis function of the company. They will provide strategic insights, drive financial performance, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and overseeing the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Delivering in-depth competitor analysis, market trends, and insightful commentary to the leadership team.
• Developing and maintaining robust financial models to support business decision-making.
• Analysing financial performance and key metrics, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Preparing comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, including the executive team and board of directors.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with business objectives.
• Leading and supporting M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration.
• Conducting margin analysis and implementing strategies to optimise profitability.
• Continuously enhancing FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior FP&A role within the insurance industry.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive financial planning and analysis experience.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Previous experience in M&A activities and margin analysis is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools.
