Your role

As the UK Cloud Centre of Excellence, Head of the Google Cloud practice, you will lead the specialist UK Google Cloud solutions team, be accountable for collaborating with the Partner Alliances team to collectively grow pipeline and revenue that we earn together with Google Cloud. You will leverage your technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales and partnering processes. You will also work closely with the Sales teams to identify the business and technical requirements of customers and translate them into effective solutions that maximize the value of Google Cloud for their business and provide a foundation for go to market joint offers and co-sell with Google Cloud.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the UK specialist Google Cloud solutions team, scaling it with demand, and maintain a Google Cloud Offers portfolio relevant to the UK market.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers and develop a deep understanding of their technical and business requirements
  • Develop and present customized demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that showcase the capabilities of Google Cloud Platform and how they can be leveraged to meet customer needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales process, including responding to technical inquiries, conducting technical assessments, and developing technical proposals.
  • Work with Partnership Alliances and Google Cloud to develop and implement strategic plans to ensure successful adoption of GCP solutions
  • Maintain an understanding of the GCP product portfolio and stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to share your knowledge and expertise and network with customers and partners.
  • Support Partner Alliances team in pipeline and relationship development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, strategy formation and execution, understanding and navigating across business units and technical practices to shape and coordinate various team inputs for proposals.

Your profile

  • Demonstrable experience of navigating large matrixed Service Provider type organizations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical presales, solution architecture, Cloud Service Provider partnering/solutioning or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Service Provider market and successful go to market techniques, ideally with Google Cloud.
  • Experience in Customer solutioning, leading to a successful track record of wins.

And/or

  • Experience of Cloud Service Provider offer and co-sell motion creation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling technical demonstrations and presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and address complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment in an influencing role.
