Acosta Europe is an exceptional business that cares about its people. We are part of one of the largest Sales and Marketing agencies in the world and are currently seeking an experienced Head of Insights to join our team working on a ‘Hybrid’ basis in our Head Office in Central Woking (Parking is provided or for any train travellers we are right next to the train station!)

Main Purpose of Role:

This role is to lead the commercialisation and quality of insight to Acosta’s current and potential clients.

To contribute to the success of the group by generating innovative data led insight, visualisation of analysis and development of analytical and commercial capability across the Insight team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Demonstrate strong strategic leadership of the key priorities, the team and our new and existing clients
  • Responsible for delivery of added value actionable insight through supporting and coaching of the Insight team
  • Manage the Insight team performance, capability and personal development, prioritising and assigning resource to key projects
  • Contribute to the success of the group by providing innovative solutions and play an active role in business development

Reporting, Data, Insight & Evaluation

  • Lead & improve the commercialisation and quality of insight to our current and new clients
  • Develop tools and training to ensure critical field analysis and insight can be produced efficiently by the Insights team for new and existing clients e.g. ROI/RSV models and tipping point analysis
  • Through the understanding of the market context, client strategy and field team objectives, this role is to highlight and communicate business opportunity to influence incremental sales
  • Proactively drive insight projects through the team to deliver continuous improvement for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to direct and perform operational and impactful analysis as required

Client Relationship Development

  • Support and attend when required regular reviews and business development meetings with the client and clients’ contacts
  • Deliver through the Insights Team clear scorecards, ROI reporting and market analysis in an accessible way
  • Responsible for building key relationships with relevant people within the clients’ business
  • Develop an effective two-way client discussion to ensure full understanding and a space to share ideas and information
  • Lead business and market intelligence communication to ensure the wider business is up-to-date with news and developments including competitor, retailer and industry developments

Person Specification:

  • Proven leadership & team management experience
  • Problem solving, decision making and conflict management and resolution skills
  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, able to interact and influence at all levels
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, forward focused with the ability to evaluate and adapt plans as required
  • Target driven with good time and task management skills
  • Self-motivated, confident and determined
  • Administration and organisational skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience with PowerBI
  • Retail and/or FMCG experience
